Buncombe County

Buncombe County is sandwiched between McDowell, Yancey, Madison, Haywood, Henderson, and Rutherford counties.  Interstates 26 and 40 both travel through the county along with the Blue Ridge Parkway.  All three converge in Asheville which is the largest city in the county.
